With scorching summers ready to give you tan lines, I think it’s time to rush off to a hill station to cool off. Now we all know the drill, we all love our Shimlas, and Mussoories, and Nainitals. But something that we don’t know is that there’s a whole wide array of other hill stations in the country which have been a well kept secret. 1. Yercaud

Literally translating to ‘lake forest’ this place is totally a visual treat. Located at the Eastern Ghats (Tamil Nadu), it’s best discovered on foot.

Situated at the Chittoor district, it’s also known as ‘ Andhra Ooty’. You can also enjoy adventure sports other than trekking here, like zorbing and rappelling. Plus, Horsley Hills sounds kinda cool, doesn't it?

Just 90 km from Mumbai, this cute little place is the smallest hill station in India. But that doesn’t mean it’s low on charms. Also, it’s Asia’s only automobile free hill station. No noise, no pollution, and you get to go there in a toy train! Sweet!

Situated in Idukki, Kerala, this place has amazing spice and herb plantation, including your fancy oregano. Of course there’s the picturesque pine forests and waterfalls which would totally enthrall you.
